Top Notch Court Reporters in New Orleans, and more…

Phone 504-522-9161

goDEPO , which was originally named Kaufman & Associates Court Reporters, has been serving the New Orleans area since 1990. Our New Orleans office is located in the CBD (Central Business District) in the heart of Downtown on one of American’s most famous streets St. Charles Avenue. It’s the Place St. Charles building, 201 St. Charles, Suite 2500. It’s a fantastic location if you are staying Downtown, in the French Quarter or Warehouse District. As with all major U.S. cities, early morning and late afternoon traffic on business days can be bad, so if you are driving in from outside the CBD, allow some extra time for traffic delays.

We offer two conference rooms at this location to serve your deposition, mediation and arbitration needs. The larger room of the two also serves as a videoconference suite outfitted with a Tandberg H.323 videoconferencing system and wide-screen LCD monitor.

We have a very experienced, dedicated and competent team of court reporters and videographers covering this region whose residences are scattered all around Lake Pontchartrain throughout New Orleans, Metairie, Gretna, Kenner, Slidell, Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville, Hammond, LaPlace and Chalmette and several rural towns farther afield. Among them are several realtime stenographers and one deposition reporter who has been with us since 1994. All of our videographers and most of our New Orleans area reporters are willing to drive a couple hours, so though we have resident court reporters in cities such as Houma, Thibodaux and Morgan City, we may assign New Orleans deposition reporters to those cities as well. In fact, they may work as far west as Lafayette and as far south as Boothville-Venice, Cutoff and Galliano.

Everyone loves New Orleans, at least partially because there are always several fun and/or cultural events going on somewhere in the metropolitan area. If you haven’t been here before and will be visiting to take or participate in a deposition, we encourage you squeeze in an additional day or so to experience the city. Perhaps you can schedule the depo(s) on a Friday or Monday. Maybe you could even squeeze in a Saints football game at the Superdome on Sunday. Since I’ve mentioned them, we feel compelled to throw in a “Geaux Saints!” “Geaux” is south Louisiana slang for ”Go.” It’s derived from the Cajun French names common to the area such as Boudreaux and Thibodeaux. And while we’re at it, we’ll throw in a shout out for LSU, “Geaux Tigers!” In New Orleans we LOVE our football teams.

If you’ll be visiting New Orleans for a deposition, mediation or trial, whether it will be your first or a return visit, we can help make your trip more productive and enjoyable. We would welcome the opportunity to provide you with recommendations good quality hotels and restaurants near our office. New Orleans is world renowned for its food, but choosing from so many restaurants can be difficult. We cannot say that we know and have eaten at all of them, but WE have eaten at a lot of them and will be glad to help you select from among the best. We would also be glad to suggest things to see and do based on what your preferences are. Just call and ask for Phil, our CEO.

Should you have a choice as to when you will be in the vicinity of New Orleans, we would recommend visiting between October and early June. July through September tends to be hot and less happens around the city. Late December thru February can be quite cold, but it never snows here (well, maybe for a few hours every 20 years). October through New Year’s Day and February through May are the busiest periods when accommodations are the most expensive. So try to book well in advance if you can.
